Summer River, or Afon yr Af in Welsh, is a beautiful piece inspired by the musical tradition of Wales. Its simple and flowing melody evokes the gentle movement of a river in summer, carrying us into a deeply folk and timeless atmosphere.
To make the piece accessible to more harpists, I offer two versions of this arrangement:
– one version adapted for 27-string Celtic harps,
– and another version for 34-string harps, allowing for a wider range and a fuller resonance.
