Lisa Lân - Fair Lisa

"Lisa Lân" (Fair Lisa) is a Welsh folk song. It is a lover's lament for Lisa, ending when the heartsick lover asks dead Lisa to guide him to where she is, so that he may be reunited with her.

The English composer Gustav Holst arranged this song in 1930– 1931 for his collection 12 Welsh Folk Songs for mixed chorus.

« Lisa Lân » (La Belle Lisa) est une chanson folklorique galloise. C'est une complainte amoureuse pour Lisa, qui s'achève lorsque l'amant éploré implore Lisa, désormais disparue, de le guider jusqu'à elle afin qu'il puisse la retrouver.

Le compositeur anglais Gustav Holst a arrangé cette chanson en 1930-1931 pour son recueil « 12 Welsh Folk Songs for mixed chorus ».
