Game of Thrones – Version 1
This first arrangement presents the famous main theme while remaining faithful to its original character. It includes a lever change at the beginning of the melody, allowing the harmony to be preserved as naturally as possible.
Game of Thrones – Version 2
The second arrangement offers a different musical perspective by introducing an ostinato accompaniment in the left hand. This repeating pattern creates a strong rhythmic foundation beneath the melody, resulting in a more flowing and hypnotic interpretation while remaining enjoyable to play on the Celtic harp.
The Rains of Castamere
The third piece in this collection is - The Rains of Castamere - , the haunting song closely associated with House Lannister. More intimate and melancholic than the main theme, this beautiful melody has become one of the most memorable musical themes of the series. Its noble and dramatic atmosphere translates beautifully to the warm, expressive sound of the Celtic harp.

Cette seconde vision du thème principal propose une approche différente grâce à une main gauche construite sous forme d'ostinato** , créant une pulsation régulière qui soutient la mélodie et offre une sensation plus hypnotique et dynamique. Cette version apporte une couleur nouvelle tout en restant parfaitement adaptée à la harpe celtique.

Le troisième morceau est The Rains of Castamere, la célèbre chanson associée à la maison Lannister. Plus intimiste et mélancolique que le thème principal, cette mélodie est devenue l'un des thèmes les plus emblématiques de la série. Son caractère noble et sombre se prête particulièrement bien aux sonorités de la harpe celtique.

“Down by the River” is the main theme of Baldur’s Gate 3, composed by Borislav Slavov. It was the very first piece he wrote for the game, which he presented to the team by singing and playing guitar, marking the start of the project’s musical direction.

New 2026 edition
One of the challenges of arranging this piece is making it accessible to harpists of different levels and to players with instruments of various sizes. That is why, for this
new 2026 edition, I have chosen to offer not just one arrangement, but four complementary versions.
The first is what I call the Short Version , specially designed for 27-string harps. This simplified arrangement provides an ideal introduction to the piece in just three pages, while preserving the distinctive atmosphere and emotion of the original composition.
You will also find two additional versions for 27-string harps, each offering a gradual increase in complexity. These arrangements introduce new musical and technical elements step by step, allowing you to develop your interpretation progressively and confidently.
Finally, the fourth arrangement, written for 34-string harps, is what I consider to be the complete version and the closest to my original interpretation of the piece.

j' ai choisi, pour cette nouvelle édition 2026, de proposer non pas une seule partition, mais quatre versions complémentaires.
Vous trouverez tout d'abord une Short Version , spécialement conçue pour les harpes de 27 cordes.
Cette version simplifiée permet une première découverte du morceau en seulement trois pages, tout en conservant l'atmosphère si particulière de l'œuvre originale. Deux autres versions pour harpe de 27 cordes vous permettront ensuite de progresser pas à pas. Chacune apporte de nouveaux éléments musicaux et techniques afin d'enrichir progressivement votre interprétation sans créer de difficulté excessive. considère comme la version la plus complète et la plus proche de mon arrangement.
Enfin, la quatrième version, destinée aux harpes de 34 cordes, correspond à l’ original.
