Saint Hildegard of Bingen (1098–1179)
Mystic, Benedictine abbess, composer, poet, healer, and visionary, Hildegard of Bingen stands as one of the most remarkable spiritual and intellectual figures of the Middle Ages. Born in Germany, she founded the monastery of Rupertsberg and composed many original musical works, primarily for the female voices of her community.

O Pastor Animarum is now available in a newly revised edition, reworked to be more musically accurate and closer to how I hear and understand the piece today.
I intentionally decided to keep the original version too. Not because it was perfect, but because it represents a moment in time — a memory of the path travelled, the learning process, the experiments, and the continuous evolution that is such an important part of music.
