Lullaby and Butterfly est un tendre voyage musical au cœur des berceuses et mélodies douces du monde celtique.
Enregistré à Tournai (Belgique) en janvier 2011, au studio A Capella Home Recordings, avec la prise de son et le mixage assurés par Jean-Pierre Ghys, et illustré par Laure Marchand, cet album est une invitation à la rêverie et au souvenir.

Chaque morceau évoque une émotion, une image, un parfum… comme une porte ouverte sur l’enfance. On y retrouve la chanson qu’une mère fredonnait, l’odeur salée des embruns, le vol des oiseaux au petit matin, ou encore la magie des contes et légendes d’Écosse, d’Irlande, de Bretagne et du Pays de Galles.

Les morceaux sont volontairement laissés sans paroles, afin que chacun puisse y poser sa propre voix, dans la langue et les mots qu’il souhaite — offrant aux parents la possibilité de chanter eux-mêmes pour leurs enfants, sur des mélodies intemporelles.

À travers ces arrangements pour harpe celtique, Eve McTelenn tisse un fil délicat entre traditions orales et douceur instrumentale, offrant un cocon musical propice au rêve, à la détente et à la tendresse partagée.

Each piece evokes an emotion, an image, a scent… like a doorway back to childhood. You may recall the song a mother once hummed, the salty breeze of the sea, the flight of birds at dawn, or the magic of tales and legends from Scotland, Ireland, Brittany, and Wales.

The tracks are deliberately left without vocals, allowing each listener to add their own voice, in the language and words of their choice — giving parents the opportunity to sing to their children over timeless melodies.

Through her arrangements for Celtic harp, Eve McTelenn weaves a delicate thread between oral traditions and gentle instrumental music, creating a musical cocoon for dreaming, relaxing, and sharing tender moments.
