La Saint-Valentin trouve ses origines dans l’Antiquité et le Moyen Âge, associée au saint Valentin, prêtre chrétien devenu symbole de l’amour et des unions célébrées en secret. Au fil des siècles, cette fête est devenue un rendez-vous incontournable pour célébrer les amoureux… parfois au prix d’une certaine pression, notamment pour ces messieurs sommés de trouver le cadeau parfait.
Pourtant, nul besoin de grand spectacle : quelques douceurs, des macarons partagés, un bon repas au restaurant ou même une soirée simple à la maison peuvent largement suffire. Et surtout, n’oublions pas une chose essentielle : on peut aussi se célébrer soi-même. Je vous présente ce morceau intitulé Accordion Waltz. Pour une fois, je n’ai pas de source précise à partager concernant l’origine de cette mélodie. Cependant, ayant eu un mari accordéoniste diatonique, ce morceau m’a immédiatement parlé. Son joli rythme de valse m’a totalement séduite, et je trouve qu’il se transpose merveilleusement bien à la harpe celtique, un instrument qui se prête particulièrement bien à ce style.

However, having a husband who played the diatonic accordion, this piece immediately spoke to me.

Il a été écrit à l’origine pour célébrer mon mariage avec mon mari. Il porte l’émotion de cette journée unique, ainsi que la joie de célébrer notre amour année après année, comme une flamme précieuse qui continue de briller à travers le temps. Plus tard, cette pièce a pris une nouvelle dimension lorsque je l’ai offerte à un ami cher, Godo, illustrateur talentueux, comme cadeau de mariage. Hello!
I’ m happy to share with you Eternal Love, a new piece that continues the story of one of my very first compositions: Éternelle. Éternelle is a deeply personal piece, originally written to celebrate my marriage to my husband. It carries the emotion of that unique and meaningful day, as well as the joy of celebrating our love year after year, like a precious flame that keeps glowing through time.
Later, this piece took on a new dimension when I offered it to a dear friend, Godo, a talented illustrator, as a gift for his wedding. Godo is the artist who created the beautiful artwork for my album Gwuid the Harpist, Return to Celtia – a creative project that brought us together in a strong artistic connection.
